We favour evergreen questions with a clear reader benefit and a scope that can be handled accurately.

A good pitch

Tell us the proposed angle, the main point a reader will take away, why the subject matters and how you would approach it. Mention relevant experience or sources that could help you develop the piece, without overstating qualifications. Make clear where claims need careful checking and what the article will not attempt to establish.

Our approach to submissions

We consider pitches for fit, originality, clarity and responsible treatment of the subject. We may ask questions or suggest a narrower focus. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication, and accepted work must meet the same accuracy and disclosure standards as other editorial material.
